[The Moen Dress]

The dress:

Original colours green and blue. Originally made of cotton and wool, rough as furniture fabric, warm and heavy to wear...

The underskirt:

Originally made of woven linen or a white linen-underskirt with a knitted border.

The Socks:

Black home-made knitted socks that goes all the way up above the knees. They are tied with a colourful woven ribbon so that they will stay up.

The Apron:

One piece of check patterned cotton. Original colours are: beige, brown, orange and the likes.

The Scarf:

An ordinary big scarf of a fine woolly fabric or preferable of silk with fringes.
The most correct is a silk scarf in red-isch colours. The scarf should be places well around the neck, it should not reach out over the shoulders. It is held together with a brooch.

The Headwear:

The Ribbons: Pink if the girl who is wearing the bonnet is not yet married. Dark green if it belongs to a married woman. The ribbons are made of taffeta or silk and are decorated with embroideries. It is tied with a big rosette in front of the chin and has also a rosette in the neck, the ribbons should reach below the waist.

There are three kinds of headwear:
One is made of blue velvet with taffeta-borders in blue. Embroideries in the neck.
One is made of brown velvet with pink taffeta-borders. Embroideries in the neck.
The last one is made of silk mainly pieces of ribbons

"Korsklædet":

A very wide lace and or pillow-/bobbin-lace which is placed over the bonnet. The bonnet and the "Korsklæde" altogether are called "Kiss me if you can", because it should extent out past the face.
