Between the villages Mandemarke and Busene right outside Klinteskoven
lies magnificent hills with odd names such as "Kongsbjerg" (The
Kings Mountain), "Kongens Køkken" (The Kings Kitchen) and "Høvblege"
(The White Face).
The hills are as unspoiled as when the glaciers of the Ice Age melted away and
left the special soil which gave the special growing conditions to the many orchids and
cowslips which are to be found here.
Busemarke Mose
Busemarke mose is a large forest of reed to the south of the hills. This
area is known as one of East-Denmark's best bird areas and is well worth a
visit.
